Golf
The location of the Hotel Carabela is ideal for golf players, as it is only a few kilometres from some of the most outstanding golf clubs in the area. These include:
Golf de Andratx: this 18-hole golf course is 1 km from the Hotel Carabela in Camp de Mar. It offers stunning views and a challenging layout for golfers of all levels.
Golf Santa Ponsa: located approximately 8 kilometres from our hotel, this golf course has three 18-hole courses and is one of the oldest in Mallorca, having hosted several international golf tournaments.
Golf de Ponent: about 10 kilometres away in Magaluf, this 18-hole golf course offers beautiful natural surroundings and sea views. It is known for its complex design and wide fairways.
Golf de Bendinat: this 18-hole course combines an excellent quality of play with a demanding and well-kept design. It is located 15 km from the Hotel Carabela.
Hiking
The Hotel Carabela is the ideal starting point for countless excursions in the southwest of the island of Mallorca. Among others, the excursions to Capdellá, Cap Andritxol or Cala en Basset towers, the hike to the Galatzó and s'Esclop peaks, the visit to La Trapa and the visit to Dragonera Island are highly recommended. Nor should you miss the most impressive viewpoints in the area, such as the Mirador de Cala Fornells and the Mirador de Sa Galera, which offer incredible views of the coast. These are just some of the places where you can enjoy hiking near Paguera. With a combination of coastal, mountainous, and wooded landscapes, you will find options for all tastes and skill levels.
Boat trip
From Hotel Carabela you can take boat trips to the islands of Malgrats, Sant Elm, the bay of Palma or Dragonera, a small island where you can enjoy beautiful views, go hiking and explore the local fauna and flora. Horse riding
In the vicinity of the Hotel Carabela there are several riding centres aimed at both beginners and experienced riders. Among others, Rancho La Romana (Paguera, +34 609 97 19 47), the Escuela Caballista es Pas de Calvià (Calvià, 971 67 06 51).
Beach facilities
Palmira Beach, where the Hotel Carabela is located, is perfectly equipped with showers, sunshades, deck chairs, pedal boats, paddle surf and kayaks for rent, walkways, litter bins, and lifeguard tower.
Water activities
On the beaches of Paguera you can relax by swimming, sunbathing or practising a variety of sports, such as paddle surfing, a very popular activity, as it is relatively easy to learn and offers a fun way to explore the coastline and the calm waters; kayaking, another relaxing way to explore the coastline, this time sitting down, or snorkelling, which allows you to cool off while observing the life at the bottom of the sea.
Shopping
Right next to the Hotel you will find prestigious brand shops, souvenir and gift shops, sports shops, perfumeries, supermarkets, pharmacies... There is also a bus stop with regular connections to the city of Palma, where the commercial offer is even more extensive. On the other hand, it is worth mentioning the weekly markets that are held all over the island. The most characteristic is the one held on Wednesdays in Sineu. In Paguera on Tuesdays, 200 metres from the Hotel, in Calvià (Monday) and in Andratx (Wednesday) are also recommended.
